CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were rushed to Charlotte hospitals Saturday night after a shooting near a gas station.
The scene unfolded some time around 10:30 p.m. at a Shell gas station along Nations Ford Road near Archdale Drive, just off of I-77. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers were observed by a WCNC Charlotte photojournalist behind a taped-off section of the road at the gas station. Medic first responders were also seen.
Medic later confirmed that there were four victims with life-threatening injuries. Three victims were taken to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center for treatment, while one was rushed to Novant Presbyterian.
Part of Nations Ford Road near the exit onto I-77 was shut down for the investigation.
CMPD has not provided initial details as of publication. Once more details are provided, this story will be updated.
