1 killed in southeast Charlotte shooting, Medic says

The incident was ruled a suicide, police said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was killed in a shooting in southeast Charlotte early Thursday morning, Medic said. 

Multiple agencies responded to a reported shooting along Lucy Jane Lane, not far from the intersection of Sardis Road North and Monroe Road, around 6:30 a.m. Medic said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police ruled the shooting a suicide.
