STATESVILLE, N.C. -- Statesville Police are investigating after two people were found with gunshot wounds Monday morning.
Around 11:15, officers were called to the corner of 5th Street and Raleigh Avenue where they found a woman suffering a gunshot wound. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment; her condition is not known.
While investigators were on scene collecting evidence, it was reported that a second gunshot victim arrived at Iredell Memorial Hospital. The condition of that victim is not known.
Statesville Police say their investigation is in the early stages, and they ask anyone with information to come forward.
