CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — A teacher was accused of taking indecent liberties with a student in Cleveland County, the sheriff's office said.
Whitney Baker, 28, was charged in connection with an incident at Turning Point Academy, investigators said.
She was also accused of using social media to send "lewd and lascivious acts" to the student.
The incidents occurred over a year and a half while Baker was a teacher at Turning Point Academy, deputies said.
Investigators plan to interview more students, staff, and administrators.
Baker's bond was set at $25,000.
