MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- An Iredell County man is facing nearly a dozen child sex charges.
On Friday, January 3, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office was notified of sexual assault allegations against 19-year-old Cory Tyler Salerno.
The Sheriff's Office says the incidents were reported after the 13-year-old victim told a friend.
The victim was interviewed at the Dove House Children's Advocacy Center. Following the victim's interview, Salerno was charged with two counts of first-degree sex offense with a child and four counts each of first-degree rape and statutory rape.
Salerno was arrested at his residence on Mills Valley Lane and booked in to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $300,000 bond.
