Uptown shooting: 1 seriously injured, Medic says

It's unclear if detectives have identified a suspect.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a shooting in Uptown Charlotte late Thursday night, Medic said. 

It happened near Seventh Street and Graham Street, about a block from Fourth Ward Park, around 10:30 p.m. The victim was taken to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic. 

Multiple Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers were on the scene investigating the shooting, but it's unclear if detectives have made an arrest. CMPD hasn't released any suspect information at this time, and it's still unclear what led up to the shooting.
