CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has identified the person killed in a shooting in east Charlotte on Sunday.

CMPD responded to Snow Lane shortly after 7:30 p.m. Sunday and found a victim, since identified as 64-year-old Rickie Burris.
Burris was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting. His family has been notified, according to CMPD.
CMPD has not released any suspect information in this investigation at this time. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 704-432-TIPS and speak with a detective or contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
