CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a shooting in west Charlotte on Thursday, Medic said.
The shooting happened along Westerly Hills Drive near the intersection with Wilkinson Boulevard. It's about a quarter-mile from Ashley Road.
One person was taken to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police haven't released any details about Thursday's shooting at this time. It's unclear if a suspect is in custody or if detectives have identified everyone involved.
Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
