STATESVILLE, N.C. – Iredell County Sheriffs have arrested a Statesville woman for the sexual abuse of a child in a case dating back to 2005.
Rebecca Lynn Bost, 41, is being charged with one count each of indecent liberties with a child and of a sex offense with a child.
In March of 2005, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office received a report of the sexual abuse of a child by a family member. The victim, a seven-year-old child at the time of offense, was interviewed several times by investigators. A forensic interview was also completed during the investigation. The victim disclosed to authorities that he was sexually abused by Bost at her residence in Iredell County, as well as an address inside the city of Statesville.
Bost is currently in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond.
