CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Duke Energy crews worked to clear up downed power lines and a downed tree that blcoked a busy Charlotte roadway.
Overnight, a tree fell across Randolph Road, bringing down power lines with it and blocking all four travel lanes near the Mint Museum.
Traffic was being diverted through the Eastover Medical Park, across from the Mint Museum, onto Cranbrook Drive, then back to Randolph Road.
Duke Energy reports there were about 322 customers in the area without power.
Crews on the scene said three power poles snapped.
