CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Monday, Nov. 27, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools opened its school choice lottery. Parents will be able to enter the school choice lottery until 10 p.m. on Dec. 29.
Lottery applications are not decided on a first-come, first-served basis. All applications will be processed as long as they are received by the deadline.
A student must be enrolled in CMS in order to be eligible to participate in the lottery. Schools will provide current CMS students their student IDs and PINs in letters to take home from school.
School choice lottery results will be available a few weeks after the lottery's deadline.
For more information or to apply for the CMS school choice letter, see the CMS website.
