Clover HS band gets invite for 2026 Rose Bowl Parade

The Clover band will be the seventh program from South Carolina to appear in the parade.

CLOVER, S.C. — The Pride of Clover Marching Band is getting another major opportunity to represent its hometown on a major stage.

On Wednesday, the band learned it was formally invited to march during the 137th Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California, set to take place on January 1, 2026. The Clover band will be only the seventh such program from South Carolina to appear in the parade, and the first from the Palmetto State to appear in the last 20 years.

The Clover program recently took its capabilities abroad, performing in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland in March 2024.

The band is directed by Rick Langdale Jr. and is a class 5A band program, competing with the largest programs in the Palmetto State. In the last few years, the Pride of Clover has placed in the top 10 and top five at state competitions.

Clover, South Carolina is located in York County, about 32 miles southwest of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Rose Bowl Parade is part of the festivities surrounding the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena. The festivities include the Rose Bowl football game as part of the college playoffs quarterfinals and the parade.
