CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The football coach at Garinger High School was suspended with pay last week, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
CMS confirmed Deangelo Lloyd was suspended on Sept. 18. The district did not provide WCNC Charlotte with a reason for his suspension, saying they "cannot discuss the circumstances" surrounding it.
The team has been informed about the coaching change, the district said.
