CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Northwest Cabarrus High School is closed Thursday due to a water main break, school administrators said.
Cabarrus County Schools said students who are dropped off by parents were dismissed around 8 a.m. with bus riders being sent home at approximately 9 a.m. Students who needed to use the restroom or water facilities during that time were allowed to use them at neighboring Northwest Middle School.
Boger Elementary and Northwest Cabarrus Middle School are both operating on a normal schedule on Thursday. WCNC Charlotte has reached out to the city of Kannapolis for details on when the water main is expected to be fixed.
