MINT HILL, N.C. — A "flammable liquid" was splashed on students during a fight at Rocky River High School on Wednesday, district officials with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirmed.
Two students were fighting in the cafeteria Wednesday morning when the liquid was splashed, CMS said. The district did not provide further information on what the liquid was, but said the school was placed on a modified lockdown as a result to deescalate the incident.
Medic was called to examine the students involved as a precaution, CMS said.
Rocky River High School families were asked to speak with their children about appropriate behavior at school, and remind them the consequences of braking the Code of Student Conduct.
