KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Kannapolis' own Josh Sanders came in second place on this season of "The Voice." Asher HaVon, who was also on Team Reba, was announced as the winner on Tuesday's live finale.
Sanders, who is on Team Reba, has been winning over fans in the Carolinas and beyond this season. Monday night, Sanders and the four other finalists each performed one ballad and one up-tempo song.
For the ballad, Sanders gave a moving performance of the Vince Gill song "Go Rest High on that Mountain." Sanders performed a lively rendition of "Boots On" by Randy Houser.
In Kannapolis, fans gathered for a watch party at Old Armor Beer Company. Fans had until 7 a.m. Tuesday to vote for their favorites.
Several guest performers will hit the stage in celebration of the two-day finale. Keith Urban performed Monday, while The Black Keys, Jelly Roll, Kate Hudson, Lainey Wilson, Muni Long, Thomas Rhett, and Gina Miles will perform Tuesday.
Sanders originally made it onto McEntire's team after performing a rendition of "Whiskey On You" by Nate Smith in the blind auditions.
