KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Kannapolis native Josh Sanders is celebrating another win on "The Voice." He was one of four artists voted to advance to the show's live finale.
Another North Carolina singer, Goldsboro native Tae Lewis, was not voted to advance. He had a chance to be voted through with an Instant Save, but another artist was chosen to advance to the finale instead.
The two North Carolina singers performed in the semi-finals in Monday night's episode of "The Voice."
Josh Sanders and Tae Lewis earned enough votes last week to advance to a spot in the final nine.
Viewers were then given a chance to vote for their favorite artists. Eight artists were voted through to the live semi-final round. The remaining four artists performed for an "Instant Save" to get the final spot in the semi-final round.
Sanders is on Team Reba and performed a rendition of "Angels" by Thomas Rhett on last Monday night's show. Tae Lewis, who is on Team Dan and Shay, earned the 9th spot in the semi-finals with an Instant Save that week.
Sanders originally made it onto McEntire's team after performing a rendition of "Whiskey On You" by Nate Smith in the blind auditions. He made it through the battle rounds with a rendition of Luke Combs' "When It Rains It Pours." He covered "Wild as Her" by Corey Kent during the knockouts, and performed "Black Water" by The Doobie Brothers in the playoffs.
You can watch "The Voice" on WCNC Charlotte on Mondays at 8 p.m. and Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
