CMS graduation ceremonies scheduled for this week

Graduations begin on Monday and the school district said they do not plan to increase capacity any further before those ceremonies.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Graduation ceremonies for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools are set to take place this week starting Monday and again on Wednesday, with more ceremonies coming in June.

More than 9,600 students are expected to receive diplomas. Monday's ceremony will take place at the Charlotte Convention Center in Uptown and the remaining ceremonies will be at Bojangles Coliseum

Masks will be required for students and staff at graduation ceremonies. CMS is strongly encouraging guests to wear face coverings during the ceremonies but they will not be required.
