CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A judge signed off on a $6.6 million dollar settlement between a North Carolina hospital system and its patients.
Novant Health is accused of sending Facebook’s parent company sensitive patient data.
While Novant hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing, they will pay the settlement to tens of thousands of patients who say their information was compromised.
Novant is based in Winston-Salem and has locations in Wake Forest.
They were one of many hospitals in North Carolina and across the country, that were using Meta’s tracking pixel.
