Touchdown for Lady Gaga!
The pop star gave us goosebumps when she kicked off Super Bowl 50 Sunday night, powering through (and totally slaying) The Star-Spangled Banner.
Mother Monster has toned down the outlandish outfits as of late, but still brought bold, patriotic style to Levi's Stadium: rocking a custom Gucci pantsuit and high-heel platforms, with teased-up hair, red eyeshadow and blue fingernails.
Her soaring, operatic rendition of the national anthem was unsurprising to those who have been tracking her "comeback" this past year (see: her breathtaking Sound of Music tribute at the Academy Awards and powerful, Oscar-nominated anthemTil It Happens to You). But the performance was no less mesmerizing, as Gaga took her time and hit every note, even the typically insurmountable "free," after which she riffed her way to the finish and thumped her chest a la Celine Dion.

And according to ForTheWin!, if you placed your bet on the 2:20 over-under for the National Anthem, the extra note she added on the end of the final line inched her just over the allotted time.
