CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Larry Sprinkle was part of the inaugural class inducted into the Charlotte Broadcast Hall of Fame Friday afternoon.

Sprinkle is celebrating 30 years at NBC Charlotte and he says he's honored to be included in the Charlotte Broadcast Hall of Fame.

"It's very humbling to be on that list and be among the first inductees," Sprinkle said.

Larry started at a radio station in Rutherford County when he was 14-years-old. He began as the janitor, but one day the music stopped while he was cleaning up and he jumped on the air.

And remember those Ty-D-Bol commercials? Larry was the man in those national commercials.
