The bus crashed Friday on the lower roadway outside baggage claim.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were injured when a bus crashed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Friday, Medic confirmed to WCNC Charlotte.

Shortly before 2 p.m., a multi-vehicle crash occurred on the lower-level roadway near the passenger terminal. The bus crashed into a pillar that supports the upper level of the roadway outside the passenger terminal. A WCNC Charlotte news crew at the airport observed frontend damage to the bus, which hit the pole straight on.

Medic transported two people to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened near Zone 3 in the lower-level roadway near baggage claim. The crash closed down lanes and caused traffic delays for travelers.
