A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in North Carolina according to lottery officials.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in North Carolina according to lottery officials.

The ticket was sold at the Sheetz on Fairlawn Drive in Winston-Salem. The ticket matched all five white balls in the drawing, but missed the Powerball preventing it from winning part of the record jackpot.

Two $150,000 tickets that matched four white balls and the Powerball were sold in the Charlotte area.

One at Love's Travel Stop on Peeler Road in Salisbury and the other at the Circle A Food Store on North Main Street in Mount Holly.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prize.
