Missing 14-year-old boy last seen in Statesville

Kato Glenn Perry was last seen on Eufola Road in Statesville.

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Officials with the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons are asking for the public's help searching for a missing 14-year-old boy. 

Kato Glenn Perry was last seen on Eufola Road in Statesville, though it's not clear how long ago that was. 

Perry's family said he has Asperger’s syndrome, which is a form of autism. 

The Iredell County Sheriff's Office (ICSO) believes he may have run away. It's not known where he could be heading.

He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds. He has brown curly hair and brown eyes, and was last known to be wearing a gray T-shirt, dark pants with holes in them, and black shoes.

ICSO has canine units and drones in the area as officials search for Perry.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call the Iredell County Sheriff's Office at 704- 878-3180.
