CHARLOTTE, N.C. β Two WCNC Charlotte anchors have been voted by the community as their favorite television personality and sportscaster.
Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich was named best television personality by the readers of Queen City Nerve, an alternative media company delivered through print and digital. Panovich has won the award in previous years and has also repeatedly won recognition in Charlotte Magazine's Best of the Best award.
WCNC Charlotte sports anchor Ashley Stroehelin was named by readers as their favorite television sportscaster.
"Beyond grateful to have the opportunity to cover sports in the Queen City," Stroehelin posted on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter, in reaction to the award. "Thanks so much to Queen City Nerve and all of our awesome viewers."
Panovich and Stroehelin can be seen in the evenings on WCNC Charlotte.
Queen City Nerve, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, said its annual award received over 25,000 ballots during its one-month voting process.
