CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The city of Charlotte said handled a fix as some cell phone users reported they were unable to access CharMeck 311 services Tuesday.
A post on X confirmed that local AT&T and Verizon customers trying to call 311 were met with messages claiming their calls were disconnected. The post said the city was working to resolve the issue and apologized for the inconvenience.
In a later post, the city government said the issue was resolved and that anyone using any mobile carrier could call 311 to use its services.
While 311 calls for those users were not working, residents could still reach 311 services via the CLT+ app and the city's website, linked above. Live support chat is also available online.
CharMeck 311 is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. It offers directory assistance to city and county offices, schedules for government meetings, information about city and county services, and access to specialists trained in tax and utility issues. It's also a primary method to request services for street maintenance, sign repair, and more.
