Man faces attempted murder charge after crash at Hickory gas station

Police say the incident was "domestic-related."

HICKORY, N.C. — A man accused of ramming his vehicle into another car at a gas station is charged with attempted murder, police said.

Miles Ramseur, 43, was arrested on Thursday following "a domestic-related incident" at a convenience store on Highway 127 South around 8 a.m., according to the Hickory Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of a silver Honda striking the building. Upon arrival, officers learned the Honda had been intentionally hit by a Chevrolet Traverse, whose driver had fled the scene.

No serious injuries were reported in the incident.

Ramseur faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, assault on a female, communicating threats, injury to personal property, and hit-and-run property damage.
