CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A body was found in the woods near a Jiffy Lube in southwest Charlotte on Monday, police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were called to the Jiffy Lube on South Boulevard a little before 3 p.m. on Monday after someone said they found a body in the woods near the shop. When officers arrived, they found the victim unresponsive and in an "advanced decomposition stage" in the woods, according to an incident report.
A CMPD spokesperson later told WCNC Charlotte the incident is being investigated as a "sudden or natural death." No further information was provided by detectives at this time. No arrests have been made.
