CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A family in southwest Charlotte was displaced from their home after it caught on fire, Sunday morning.
The fire happened on Prideland Court after 1 a.m.
It took firefighters with the Charlotte Fire Department about 9 minutes to extinguish.
Investigators said the origin of fire was a charcoal grill, which was stored after its use earlier in the evening.
The fire caused about $50,000 worth of damage to the home.
The American Red Cross is assisting with displaced family.
