Charlotte FD: No injuries reported after 2-alarm fire at Charlotte restaurant

Medic said crews are on standby, but there have been no patients related to the fire.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a fire at a Charlotte restaurant Tuesday morning. Photos from the fire department show fire crews at Captain D's located on East Woodlawn Road.

Fire crews were alerted at 7:15 a.m., and the fire was upgraded to a working fire before crews arrived. The fire department confirmed it had been upgraded to a 2-alarm fire shortly after, and called for additional resources to the scene.

Around 8:15 a.m., Charlotte Fire confirmed to a WCNC Charlotte crew on the scene that the fire was "under control;" fire crews are working on hotspots and making sure the fire is fully out, but no smoke or flames were showing.

Medic said crews were on standby, but there have been no patients related to the fire. Charlotte Fire confirmed no firefighters or injuries have been injured as of 8:30 a.m.

The incident is now under investigation.
