CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System announced its holiday schedule for Christmas and New Year's Eve riders this week.
CATS will operate on a modified schedule with the holidays falling on weekdays. For riders who take the Gold Line streetcar, light rail and buses, CATS will operate on a Sunday schedule for Christmas Eve and Christmas.
The CATS call center, lost and found and sales offices will be closed on Christmas and Dec. 26. Regular operations will resume Wednesday, Dec. 27.
CATS will also utilize a Sunday schedule for New Year's Day on its light rail, streetcar and bus routes. Regular weekday schedules will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2 for all CATS transit services. The call center, lost and found and sales offices will be closed Jan. 1.
