Suspect arrested after evading Chester County deputies for hours

Antonioes Stewart was arrested Friday morning after being on the run for hours following a police chase in Chester County.

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A suspect was arrested Friday morning after running from deputies for hours after a police chase in Chester County, investigators said. 

The Chester County Sheriff's Office said the suspect, Antonioes Tyerrilld Stewart, led deputies on a car chase in the area of Pickney Road and the JA Cochrain Bypass Thursday. At point, Stewart ran into the woods and was able to avoid being arrested for nearly 12 hours. 

The sheriff's office announced that Stewart was taken into custody Friday morning. He was charged with hit and run resulting in property damage and failure to stop for blue lights. He's currently behind held in the Chester County jail.
