CHESTER, S.C. — An investigation into a shooting scene is underway in Chester County, according to the Chester County Sheriff's Office
The shooting happened Saturday afternoon in the Eden Drive in the Stringfellow community.
The suspected shooter has been taken into custody, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office said.
The spokesperson said there is no active threat to the community at this time.
Deputies and the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) are investigating the scene.
SLED later confirmed two people were hurt in the shooting and noted it was not an incident that involved an officer.
