BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a child after a brief investigation.
Nicholas Walentowski, 44, was arrested on June 28 and charged with indecent liberties with a minor. The Burke County Sheriff's Office was given information about a possible sexual assault on June 28 and quickly issued warrants for Walentowski's arrest.
No further information was given on Walentowski's case.
Walentowski is being held in Burke County jail with a $45,000 bond. His next court date is July 22.
