CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With more people heading back to the office, their co-workers have a simple request: don't stink (literally)!
Back to the office means back to wearing deodorant. The need for deodorant has surged as people gear up to sit beside their co-workers once again. Popular brands like Dove and Impulse reported a 15% increase in sales, but that sweet smell of success didn't come without drastic lows.
The companies said they saw a dip in sales during the COVID-19 pandemic, with 70% of workers clocking from home for lengthy periods of time. Now, almost 30% of employees remain in hybrid roles, working both at home and in the office.
The push to work in person has made deodorant one of the fastest-growing self-care products on the market.
