CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fall is a great time to enjoy the cool weather in the Carolinas, and it's also a great time for stargazing.
This time of year is a great time to look into the sky. Let's connect the dots.
Dense clouds during the summer can make it hard to find your favorite constellations. However, autumn's cooler and clearer nights, mixed with shorter days and longer nights, means more time for the stars.
Experts told the Washington Post you may even see the return of Saturn, Jupiter and Venus to the night sky this fall, or even a recently discovered comet.
Comet A3 was discovered last year, but astronomers believe it may be visible by the end of September. To see it, you'll need to get up before sunrise and look toward the southeast.
This fall will also have another solar eclipse, but unlike the one we saw in April, it will only be visible to folks on the West Coast.
