CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 85, according to Medic.
The crash happened near West Mallard Creek Church road just after 8 p.m., according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The right lane was closed at exit 45 near West W.T. Harris Boulevard, but is now clear.
