Davidson College employee accused of secret peeping

The school did not release the employee's name. Police have not released any information on this incident.

DAVIDSON, N.C. — A Davidson College employee was placed on leave after they were charged with secret peeping across Mooresville. 

School administrators say the employee was arrested and charged with felony secret peeping by police in Mooresville. The employee was a member of the facilities staff. Their name has not been released.

Police told administrators that the employee is accused of using a camera to secretly view one or more locations in Mooresville. According to a letter sent to students and staff, additional locations could include the Davidson College campus. 

The employee is accused of recording in public areas and bathrooms. College administrators have not viewed the images.

Officials are searching throughout the campus for any hidden cameras.

Davidson College officials say they will keep students updated with any developments. 

The Mooresville Police Department and Iredell County Sheriff's Office have not released any information on this incident.
