3-car crash kills passenger in York County, troopers say

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A crash involving three cars on a York County roadway resulted in one person's death Wednesday afternoon.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said it happened just after 1 p.m. along SC-274 near Campbell Road, northeast of the town of York. A 2015 Chrysler sedan was traveling north on 274 at the time, but troopers said it went off the roadway when it first hit a southbound 2007 Lexus sedan, before hitting a 2006 Ford coupe heading north.
