CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — A shooting left a man dead in Chesterfield County on Sunday.
The shooting happened on Mallory Street in Cheraw at around 11 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators found Daquan Blanton, 27, with a gunshot wound at the scene. Blanton was later pronounced dead.
Anthony Waymyers, 22, was labeled the suspect in the case. He was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with murder.
Waymyers is being held in Chesterfield County jail. No next court date has been listed for Waymyers.
