Charlotte DJ giving back through community cookout: 'We just want to make sure everybody has something good'

The Charlotte DJ wanted to give back to a community that's helped with his success.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte entrepreneur is giving back one plate at a time. DJ ESudd grew up in North Carolina and now DJs for big names, including 2 Chainz. His latest effort, though, was a community cookout.

“We can do a 'family fun day,'" Sudd said when talking about the cookout.

The event aimed to relieve a burden for so many people in the Queen City -- offering food, music, family fun and more.

The Charlotte DJ wanted to give back to a community that's helped with his success.

“We're feeding over 100 people," he said. "So, you know, it's it's really a kickback, give back to the community, family and friends.”

The cookout centered around his "No Stress Fest", and the phrase is a message he hopes inspire others. When asked what "no stress" means to the local entrepreneur, he added, “we just want to make sure everybody has something good.”

Sudd and his camp plan to have more pop-up events for families throughout the summer, especially as many get closer to heading back to school.
