Duke Energy said the estimated time of restoration is 3:30 p.m.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Power has been restored for Duke Energy customers who faced outages due to equipment going offline on Sunday morning, officials said.

Duke Energy provided the following statement regarding the outage:

"We have been able to switch customers to other power lines and now have only about 1500 without power. We are working to bring them on now and are hopeful that we can have them on by our estimated 3:30 p.m. restoration time. We are still investigating the cause of the equipment failure."
