CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a shooting in east Charlotte on Wednesday, Medic said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a shooting near the intersection with Dunlavin Way and Eastway Drive around 11:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found one person who had been shot. Medic said the victim was taken to Novant's Presbyterian Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Two neighbors told WCNC Charlotte they heard gunshots but neither person saw the shooter or victim.
CMPD hasn't released any suspect information and it's unclear if any arrests have been made. The victim hasn't been identified.
Anyone with information is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
