East Charlotte shootings leave 2 people injured

The shootings happened on The Plaza and Old Coach Road.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were hurt in two shootings that are possibly connected in east Charlotte.

The shootings happened on Old Coach Road near Clover Hitch Road. The other shooting happened on The Plaza near Milton Road. Both were reported around 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Medic said one person from the Old Coach Road shooting suffered life-threatening injuries. The victim in the shooting on The Plaza suffered serious injuries. 

Medic stated that the two shootings are possibly connected.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department was on scene at both locations. Police have not released any information about either shooting.

Neither of the victims have been named. Police have not said if they are searching for suspects or if they have arrested anyone.
