CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about stolen football equipment at a high school.
Investigators say that nearly $12,000 worth of equipment was stolen from West Caldwell High School between Sunday and Monday. The break-in happened at the school's field house.
High school officials said on social media that an insurance claim had been filed. They advise anyone who wants to donate can do so by writing a check payable to WCHS Athletic Booster Club.
"We appreciate the unwavering support from the community for the stolen items from the Football Program," officials said.
A $1,000 reward is being offered to the person who provides information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the theft, according to the sheriff's office. Anyone with information is asked to contact (828) 758-2324 or Caldwell County CrimeStoppers at (828) 758-8300.
