Former Domino's employee sentenced to probation

A former Domino's Pizza employee will serve two years of probation for allegedly tampering with food at the restaurant.

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- A former Domino's Pizza employee will serve two years of probation for allegedly tampering with food at the restaurant.

Michael Setzer entered an Alford plea in Catawba County Court. An Alford plea means that Setzer did not officially admit guilty, but admitted that the prosecution could likely prove the charge.

He received 24 months of supervised probation and 30 hours of community service, which must be served within 60 days.

Setzer and a coworker, Kristy Hammonds, were arrested in April 2009 after posting videos on YouTube that showed them tampering with customer's food. In one video, Setzer is seen putting cheese into his nose and then onto a sandwich.

Catawba County authorities said the videos provided overwhelming evidence, which ultimately led them to charge Setzer and Hammonds with contaminating food.

After entering his plea, the judge ordered Setzer to have no contact with Hammonds, who is awaiting trial.
