GASTONIA, N.C. -- A former pastor and theology professor arrested during a Charlotte prostitution sting last year has again been charged with solicitation, according to the Gaston County Sheriff s Office.

Gastonia police charged Clinton Alexander Feemster with soliciting for a crime against nature last Wednesday. The circumstances of the arrest were not immediately available. Feemster was booked into Gaston County jail but released the same day on an unsecured bond.

In February 2011, Feemster was arrested during a prostitution sting. Police say he tried to solicit an undercover Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer at the overlook at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.

Feemster was employed at Gardner-Webb, in Boiling Springs from 2004 until shortly after his 2011 arrest. He was the director of the Pittman Center for Congregational Enrichment, which provides educational and enrichment opportunities for both laity and clergy.

He was also the pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Kings Mountain for 25 years, but stepped down from that post in August 2011.
