FORT MILL, S.C. — All Fort Mill schools are closed Tuesday after construction crews broke a water main near U.S. 21 and Gold Hill Road Monday evening, officials said.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. York County officials said emergency crews were called out to repair the pipe but water service hadn't been restored by Tuesday morning.
The Fort Mill School District announced that all of its schools were closed Tuesday due to the water outage. York County officials said they hope to restore water service to impacted customers by mid-afternoon Tuesday.
