GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia Fire responded to a fire in a Walmart on Myrtle School Road in Gastonia.
Officials say there was no major damage, and the fire was controlled without injuries.
The store, however, is closed until further notice, according to Gaston County Officials.
According to the fire marshal, an investigation is underway. Currently, the fire is believed to be intentionally set. There have been no arrests, and no injuries were reported.
The fire started in the housewares section of the store.
Employees handled putting out most of the fire before firefighters arrived to the scene.
