Gastonia residents getting new bill payment kiosks across town

The idea is to offer multiple ways for customers to pay their bills.

GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia residents will soon be able to pay their utility bills with remote kiosks set up across town.

The city government announced Thursday it would set up five walk-up kiosks to allow customers to pay the bills through their Two Rivers Utilities accounts. Crystal Certain, the director of financial services, said the goal is to offer more options for residents to handle business.

"These kiosks will provide a convenient way for all of our customers to access their accounts and to pay their utility bills at locations near them or while they are out in the community," she said.

Fees may apply for using a kiosk. Residents may also be able to communicate with a customer service representative at some of them.

The kiosks at the three Food Lion locations can handle cash payments. Customers will need their 8-digit city of Gastonia account number and address to make kiosk payments.
